Paul Szilard Productions, Inc., is recognized as one of the most established agencies in the world of dance. It operates under the leadership of its President, Paul Szilard and his assistant, David Protomastro.

This office has represented some of the world’s most outstanding dance Companies, as well as internationally famous dancers, choreographers and stars of the dance world, among them the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. For over 40 years, Paul Szilard Productions was the exclusive international representative for the Ailey Company. This office is still the exclusive agent for all of the choreography of Alvin Ailey.

Paul Szilard Productions is also the agent for the Universal Ballet Company of Korea, a classical ballet company with over 80 dancers, which performed at the New York State Theater at Lincoln Center, the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles, in San Francisco, and, in 2009, in Greece.

A recent addition to the roster of Paul Szilard Productions, Inc. is the Martha Graham Dance Company. Since 2006, Paul Szilard Productions has presented the Company on many tours throughout Europe. This year and next, the Company will appear in Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Israel and Spain. Also in 2011, the Company will perform at the Rose Theater at Lincoln Center. In 2012, the Company plans to appear once again at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, along with Sadler’s Wells in London.

In November 2007, “West Side Story,” performed by an American company, was produced and presented in Paris at the Theatre du Chatelet, which is one of the most prestigious houses in Paris, for a six-week tour. To the amazement of the French public, it was completely sold-out. The producers were the Theatre du Chatelet, Michael Brenner for BB-Promotion, and Paul Szilard Productions, Inc.

For many years, one of the most outstanding ballets of George Balanchine, “Symphony in C,” was also under the exclusive management of Paul Szilard Productions. This ballet is still being performed in major ballet companies around the world under contracts negotiated by this office.

In 2009, Paul Szilard Productions, along with Michael Brenner and BB Promotions, presented “Tanguera” at New York’s City Center Theater. They were also involved in the presentation of the Alvin Ailey Company at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris in that same year.

Paul Szilard has been working in the field of dance for over 50 years. Prior to becoming a producer and an impresario, he was an internationally known ballet dancer. His autobiography, Under My Wings: My Life as an Impresario was published to outstanding success in the United States and overseas.
